The Arromanches museum is
unique expedition in the world, perpetuates the grateful
remembrance towards the Allies who gave so many young
lives to free Europe from the yoke which was oppressing
it. This exhibition exists thanks to the work of Mr
Raymond Triboulet, witness and former minister First
sub-prefect of France Libre, who founded the D – Day
landing committee.
Before watching the film
shot by the Royal Admiralty at the time, which explains
the different stages of conception, achievement, transport
and use of the prefabricated harbour, the visitors many
explore the museums south gallery where every country that
took part has a display.
